1993 Daytona 500

The Daytona 500 by STP was held February 14 at Daytona International Speedway. Dale Jarrett passed Dale Earnhardt on the last lap to win the race. Rusty Wallace was involved in a spetacular wreck on Lap 168 where his #2 Miller Genuine Draft Pontiac was clipped by Michael Waltrip's #30 Pennzoil Pontiac and began a series of barrel rolls. Kyle Petty won the pole. 1992 Indianapolis 500 winner Al Unser Jr. competed in his only Winston Cup race. He was running in the top 10 with less than 100 miles to go when he crashed his #46 Valvoline Chevrolet with the #90 of Bobby Hillin Jr. and polesitter Kyle Petty's Mello Yello-sponsored #42.
