Moorkoth Ramunni

Moorkoth Ramunni (15 September 1915 - 8 July 2009) is the elder son of Moorkoth Kumaran and was also a follower of Sree Narayana Guru like his father. He hailed from respected Thiyya family[citation needed] from Kannur. He was also a good cricketer and a hockey player. He was against the castism that existed in the Kerala society at that time. It was Sree Narayana Guru's message that inspired him to fight against the inequalities in the society.

He was the first pilot from Kerala of the Royal Air Force(Later Indian Air Force). He also fought against Japan in the IInd world war. He worked at Nehru's office in 1947. He was one among the ten people who were appointed to look after the tribes for 25 years. He was the advisor of the governors of the states Nagland, Manipur, Tripura. He also assumed the position of the administrator of Lakshadweep. First pilot from Kerala and (Having converted subsequently to the IAS) an administrator.The First Head Of Training Team of The Indian National Defence Academy.
