Simon Stead (born 25 April 1982 Sheffield, England) [Oakes, P.(2004). "British Speedway Who's Who". ISBN 0-948882-81-6] is an international Speedway rider. Simon currently rides for the Coventry Bees in the British Elite League, Masarna in the Swedish League and for Bydgoszcz in the Polish League.

] Simon signed for Belle Vue prior to the start of the 2005 season and had three seasons with the Aces. In those three seasons he has progressed from a reserve to a heat leader. For the 2008 season Simon joined the Coventry Bees on loan.

Stead has been British Under-21 Champion champion three times and won the 2006 Elite League Pairs Champion along with then team mate Jason Crump. He also won the Premier League Pairs Championship with Carl Stonehewer in 2003.cite book
