The Rave / Eagles Club is a concert venue and landmark in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The Rave hosts touring bands from across the globe. [ [http://www.onmilwaukee.com/bars/articles/musicbars.html The Rave at onmilwaukee.com] , Retrieved June 8 2007]

Divisions

The building is divided into six separate venues, making it theoretically possibly to have six different acts playing at the same time.

The Eagles Ballroom is the building's showpiece, featuring a convert|25000|sqft oval wooden dancefloor, originally installed when the building was constructed, in addition to a large, old-fashioned domed ceiling and a stage on one side. Originally a ballroom, it has hosted everything from boxing matches to concerts to ethnic dances. There is a second floor, with a row of balconies around the oval, from one side of the stage to the other. The Ballroom hosts the most popular acts, and its impressive history includes Coldplay, Matchbox Twenty, Green Day, Nine Inch Nails, Bob Dylan, the Jonas Brothers, Maroon 5, Korn, the Smashing Pumpkins, No Doubt, Dierks Bentley, Robert Plant and Modest Mouse. The Jonas Brothers performed their first major concert as a headliner here, and filmed portions of the show to use in the music video for their top ten single "When You Look Me In the Eyes." The Rave Hall on the main level is a large concert style venue, second in size only to the Eagles Ballroom above it. Most national touring artists that visit Milwaukee have played here, including John Mayer, Sevendust, GWAR, Regina Spektor, moe. and Bob Weir. The Eagles Hall, previously called the Bassment, is a Miami-style venue built in the basement of the building. Featuring a unique hardwood floor, it is often rented by members of the public for wedding receptions. It has hosted acts like Nickelback, Boys Like Girls, 3 Doors Down, Government Mule and Third Eye Blind. [http://www.therave.com/about_the_eagles_hall.asp The Eagles Hall] , Retrieved August 7 2008]

The Rave Bar is a small intimate club. [http://search.cityguide.aol.com/milwaukee/bars/the-rave--eagles-ballroom/v-104017529 The Rave/Eagles Ballroom Review] , Retrieved June 8 2007] Numerous acts have made their Wisconsin debut here, including the Dave Matthews Band, Nirvana, Les Claypool, Third Eye Blind, Smashmouth, Blink 182, Creed, Pearl Jam and Tantric. [http://www.therave.com/about_the_Rave_bar.asp The Rave Bar] , Retrieved August 7 2008]

The Rave Vibe Room was designed to feature up and coming bands, similar to The Rave Bar, while to also catering to DJ's. [http://www.therave.com/about_the_rave_vibe_room.asp The Rave Vibe Room] , Retrieved August 7 2008]

The Rockstar Lounge, the newest addition to the building, is a VIP lounge with its own stage and performance setup. It was built in response to the increasing amount of musical acts requesting non-smoking shows and is quipped with special ventillation, thus enabling patrons to smoke while not disturbing others in the building. [http://www.therave.com/about_the_rockstar_lounge.asp The Rockstar Lounge] , Retrieved August 7 2008] Like the Rave Bar, Rave Hall and Eagles Hall, it features the venue's trademark authentic wooden bartops.

Many ECW events from its original were held there including Hardcore Heaven in 2000 and an episode of ECW on TNN in the same year.

The Eagles Club was named to the National Register of Historic Places on July 29 1986. The club is a significant example of 19th and 20th century Revival architecture, especially from 1924, 1927, and 1939.
