It is about 14 year old Francis Tucket who strays from his family's wagon on the Oregon Trail and is captured by the Pawnee. It was first published in 1969 by Funk & Wagnalls.
It was later turned into a five part omnibus, entitled Tucket's Travels, along with the rest of the novels in The Tucket Adventures by Random House and released in 2003.
