- Brad Long
Brad Long is a Canadian born
chef . He is known for his appearances on the hit Food Network show "Restaurant Makeover ", which is seen in over 16 countries worldwide.Brad started his career as a part time cook and a full time musician. An accomplished strings player, he used guitar, banjo, mandolin, and even Lute. He would often appear in unusual outfits, including a fullblown 40's version Navy furlough outfit.
His early cooking career was coloured...He spent some time on the line at Toronto's "Earl's On Top" (Later changed to Toucan's On Top) on Bloor in Toronto. He was an exceptional line performer, and an exceptional Hound and Boozer. Waitresses, Managers, and Patrons would somehow fall over backwards for his advances.
Long had a checkered career in his early days and was once fired for eating on the Line at a misbegotten Simpsons (yes, the Department Store!) Lounge in Toronto. The kitchen was(Foolishly) in the middle of the service room...The was no place to hide. It was a last second job thrown to him by Line Cronies Stewart Charlotte and Derek Blair.
Chef Brad is currently the
executive chef forMaple Leaf Sports & Entertainment Ltd. , most notably for Toronto'sAir Canada Centre home of theMaple Leafs and is consistently reviewed by Toronto Life Magazine as one of the most distinguished Chefs in Toronto.External links
