Block Island, Rhode Island , Angel moved with his parents toLitchfield, New York , in 1792.He attended the common schools. Began the study of medicine in 1807.He studied law.He was admitted to the bar and commenced practice inBurlington, New York , in 1817.Angel was elected as an Adams to the Nineteenth Congress (
March 4 ,1825 -March 3 ,1827 ).Angel was elected as a Jacksonian to the Twenty-first and Twenty-second Congresses (
March 4 ,1829 -March 3 ,1833 ).He resumed the practice of law inHammondsport, New York .He served as member of the State constitutional convention of 1846.He was elected judge of Allegany County in 1847.He died inAngelica, New York , onAugust 13 ,1858 .He was interred in Until the Day Dawn Cemetery.References
