James L. Hogeboom

James Lawrence Hogeboom (August 251766 - December 231839) was a United States Representative from New York.

Hogeboom was born in Ghent, New York on August 251766, and later moved to Pittstown, New York, in 1794. He moved to Castleton-on-Hudson, New York, in April 1802 and was a merchant. He served as member of the New York State Assembly in 1804, 1805, and 1808. He served as judge of Rensselaer County 1805 - 1808. He served as member of the State constitutional convention in 1821.

Hogeboom was elected as a Crawford Democratic-Republican to the 18th United States Congress (March 41823 - March 31825). Afterward, he engaged in the mercantile business. He died in Castleton-on-Hudson, New York, on December 231839 and is interred in Castleton Cemetery.
