American Fork High School is a public high school in American Fork, Utah. Its mascot is the Caveman, chosen as a tribute to Timpanogos CaveFact|date=April 2008. Along with Carlsbad High School in New Mexico, Grants Pass High School in Southern Oregon, and Mishawaka High School in Indiana [ [http://www.wsbt.com/sports/local/15852422.html Outstanding Student Athlete: Neal Kostry | WSBT South Bend - Your Local News Leader | Local Sports ] ] , they are the only schools in the United States using the mascotFact|date=April 2008. The Cavemen currently play in Class 5A and Region IV.

Football

American Fork High School, despite having the second-longest athletics history in the state of Utah, has not won a football state championship since 1962. This season they hosted Mount Miguel High School on Sept. 20, winning 54-34.

Marching Band

Excluding a single loss at the 2007 Davis Cup competition hosted by Davis High School, the American Fork High School Marching Band has been undefeated in Utah for the last five years. They have been invited to parades across the nation, and Bands of America competitions on multiple occasions. In January 2005, they participated in President George W. Bush's inaugural parade. In 2007, they traveled to New York City to become the only band from Utah ever to participate in the Macy's Day ParadeFact|date=April 2008. The band has been the Utah state champions for the past 15 yearsFact|date=April 2008. They are also going to the BOA grand nationals in Indianapolis in November of 2008.

Drama Program

AF has a notable drama program. They have won many awards at the Utah Shakespearian FestivalFact|date=April 2008. Some of their full-length production credits include: Beauty and the Beast, Children of Eden, Noises Off, Lucky Stiff, The Crucible, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Peter Pan, Taming of the Shrew, and Les MiserablesFact|date=April 2008. The Department is currently directed by Mr. Neal JohnsonFact|date=April 2008.

Kave TV

Kave TV is the school's broadcasting program for announcements and videos produced by the Kave TV Class.
