Otis Wingo

Otis Theodore Wingo (June 18, 1877 - October 21, 1930) was a U.S. Representative from Arkansas, husband of Effiegene Wingo.

Born in Weakley County, Tennessee, Wingo attended the public schools, Bethel College at McKenzie, Tennessee, McFerrin College at Martin, Tennessee, and Valparaiso (Indiana) University. He taught school. He studied law. He was admitted to the bar in 1900 and commenced practice in De Queen, Arkansas. He served as member of the State senate 1907-1909. He resumed the practice of his profession in De Queen, Arkansas.

Wingo was elected as a Democrat to the Sixty-third and to the eight succeeding Congresses and served from March 4, 1913, until his death in Baltimore, Maryland, October 21, 1930. He was interred in Rock Creek Cemetery, Washington, D.C.
