Education Department (Hong Kong)

Education Department (Hong Kong)

The Education Department (Abbreviation: ED; Traditional Chinese: 教育署, 教育司署 before 1983) was a government department in the Hong Kong Government. It was headed by the Director of Education.

It was folded into the Education and Manpower Bureau in 2003, following the passage of the "Education Reorganization (Miscellaneous Amendments) Bill 2002" in the Legislative Council.
