Generalised switched telephone network
- Generalised switched telephone network
The term Generalised Switched Telephone Network (GSTN) is often used as a synonym for the Public Switched Telephone Network. The difference between the two terms is that the term GSTN is used to refer to all public telephone networks, the PSTN being one of them. Other examples include the ISDN, the PLMN, as well as VoIP-based public networks such as BT's 21CN and KPN's All-IP network.
