radio station located in Montmagny,Quebec .Owned and operated by
Corus Entertainment , the station broadcasts on 102.1 MHz using adirectional antenna with an averageeffective radiated power of 25,709 watts and a peak effective radiated power of 100,000 watts (class C1). It has anNews/Talk format, although some talk programs from co-ownedCHMP-FM andCKAC inMontreal are now being aired.The station identifies itself as 102,1 FM. Its logo is strangely similar to the one used by other Corus-owned FM talk stations such as
CHMP-FM andCJRC-FM , which has led to speculation the station will adopt a fulltime talk format targetingQuebec City .CFEL-FM received its first licence in December 1986 and replaced CKBM 1490, an unrelated station which closed due to a bankruptcy in 1983. On July 8, 2008, 591991 B.C. Ltd. applied to move CFEL's transmitter from its current location to a new site in
Quebec City . The objective of moving the transmitter is to achieve better coverage of the Levis and Quebec City market.
