La Tigra National park (local name : Parque Nacional La Tigra) was the first
National Park of the country ofHonduras (in 1980), and has been protected since the early 1950s. It is a cloud forest with an area of 328 km², located 25 km fromTegucigalpa . The park provides dormitories, a visitors' center with information about the plant and animal life in the forest, guides and trails.Vegetation
