Air Carrier Access Act

The Air Carrier Access Act is Title 49, Section 41705 of the U.S. Code. The act prevents public airlines from discriminating against individuals based on disabilities. The act was passed in 1986.

After the act passed, it forbade discrimination against the handicapped. Generally, any air transportation or any foreign airline may not discriminate against an otherwise qualified person based on several criteria.
