Stanford University . Hshieh is also the Correspondent of Human-Computer Interaction at Harvard University. Hshieh specializes inmedical imaging technology development with a focus on cancer detection. Hshieh is best known for his development and concept designs of human-computer interaction technologies and implementations in medical diagnosis.Research Activities
Hshieh is is one of the creators of the
CYSTHS bone scan uptake quantification program, Ashita Project, a mammogram malignancy discernment program, and Cloud Project, a medical diagnosis interface involving gesture control. He is the main programmer of the CYSTHS project. He is an editor of the Societatea Educationala pentru Fizica, Chimie, Informatica si Matematica in Biologie in Iasi, Romania. Hshieh has also been published in the Societatea Educationala pentru Fizica, Chimie, Informatica si Matematica in Biologie's second annual publication, "Revista anuala de informare Nr.2" (an interdisciplinary science journal featuring novel projects of European researchers in 2007).As of 2007, he was officially recognized by
Siemens AG as a Siemens Scholar and an Intel STS scholar byIntel . Hshieh currently works as an independent programmer developing software for use in medical offices. Hshieh is a correspondent in theHarvard University Department of Mathematics conducting software optimization, 3D imaging, web-development, and research invoice recognition . In 2008, Hshieh proposed the use of high definition live 3D modeling with localized beam collision in the dynamic removal of tumorous tissue along with the creation of a rotation-based cuff for surgical tool selection in remote procedures. Hshieh further suggested the use of a microtubule liquid metal injection to allow for greater accuracy in the aforementioned beam collision removal of cancers.Activism and Volunteer Work
Hshieh is an participant in cancer awareness and anti-violence activism. He is a volunteer for
Susan G. Komen for the Cure . On September 15, 2005, Hshieh presented a campaign to lessen violence on theMexico-United States border at thePeaceJam Foundation's Global Call to Action, an international symposium of volunteers and 10Nobel Peace Prize laureates includingTenzin Gyatso, 14th Dalai Lama , andDesmond Tutu .External links
