Seasons prior to 1981-82 use the old method of 2 points for a win. From 1981-82 onward is the present system with 3 points for a win;
Seasons prior to 1992-93 are the old league format, with Division 1 as the top flight. From 1992-93 onward is the present system with the Premier League as the highest level;
Wolves were promoted in 2002-03 via the play-offs.
