Junior Ranger Program

Junior Ranger Program

The Junior Ranger Programs are activities prepared especially for 5-12 year old visitors to the properties of the National Park Service. Participation is recorded in prepared booklets or newspaper which can cost up to $3. After completing the specified amount of pages for his/ her age group, the participant is awarded a patch, badge and/or certificate, unique for each park.

Emphasis is given to introduction to the natural and urban highlights within the parks.

Participating parks

All United States National Parks participate in the Junior Ranger Program. Also many state parks also have a program but some things differ from the National Park Service program.
