Provincial by-election were held in Alberta on 12 June 2007 to fill the vacancies in the Legislative Assembly ridings of Calgary Elbow and Drumheller-Stettler. The ridings were vacated on January 15, 2007 by the resignation of the outgoing Premier and Deputy Premier, Ralph Klein and Shirley McClellan. Craig Cheffins of the Liberals won Calgary Elbow, previously a safe Progressive Conservative riding going back to its creation in 1971, and the former riding of Ralph Klein. John Hayden of the Progressive Conservatives won Drumheller-Stettler, continuing the party's hold in the area.
