Puliangudi

Puliangudi is a town and municipality in Tirunelveli district in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It is located in the foothills of the Western Ghats near the Courtallam Waterfalls.

Puliangudi is also known as lemon city. The Lemon species cultivated around Puliangudi are very juicy. They are exported abroad.In puliangudi the hotel named " Vellathurai" is famous for " parota" a south Indian dish.

there are 18 hr.sec.schools in puliangudi and the students from nearer municipalities like sankarankovil, kadayanallur,vasudevanallur are studying here.

the roads are always mud.
