Rhoose "( _cy. Y Rhws)" is a
village located near the sea (theBristol Channel ) in theVale of Glamorgan ,Wales , near Barry.The village is the location of
Cardiff International Airport , formerlyRAF Rhoose , a Holiday Park (Fontygary ), some shops, threepublic house s (The FontygaryInn , The Mayflower and the Highwayman), Rhoose Social Club, and an active Surf Life Saving Club (Rhoose Lifeguards).Rhoose is one of the fastest growing villages in the
Vale of Glamorgan , with the two newest developments being "The Hollies", and more recently,Rhoose Point . Rhoose Point is the most southerly point of mainland Wales, offering stunning views over the Bristol Channel toSomerset and beautiful coastal walks.Rhoose Cardiff International Airport railway station , which was scheduled to re-open in 2003, suffered numerous bureaucratic delays before eventually re-opening inJune 2005 .
