Gold Gulch

Gold Gulch

"Gold Gulch" was the largest concession at the 1935-1936 San Diego World's Fair (California Pacific International Exposition). Gold Gulch was a 21-acre Old West mining camp and ghost town replica which undoubtedly inspired and/or influenced subsequent Western theme parks and frontier village reconstructions. Gold Gulch was designed, directed and produced by Harry Oliver, an Oscar-nominated Hollywood set designer and Western humorist.
