Ingleburn High School is a co-educational, comprehensive, public High School located in Ingleburn, New South Wales, Australia.

The school follows the NSW Board of Studies' standard curriculum, which is provided to all Government schools in NSW. The School's motto is "Tolerance, Integrity and Excellence". [http://www.ingleburn-h.schools.nsw.edu.au/# | go to ‘Parents’ then ‘About us’] The school consists of 78.372 [Ingleburn High School: "Annual School Report 2007", page 9, 2008] staff and in excess of 900 students.

Of the year 7 cohort, 2007, only 50% met national numeracy benchmarks. [Ingleburn High School: "Annual School Report 2007", page 4, 2008]

There are programmes to support students of specific non-European origins. The reason for this staff member is that the State has made it compulsory that only students of Aboriginal origin must have an “Individual Education Plan”. [cite web | url=http://www.ingleburn-h.schools.nsw.edu.au/Newsletter.pdf| title=“The School TIE”, A Huge Welcome to our new Aboriginal Education Worker, page 4, September 2008 | publisher=Ingleburn High School | accessdate=2008-10-05 ] Other programmes available to all students include the school newsletter voucher programme in which students who "collect 3 vouchers from different newsletters" [Ingleburn High School: "the School TIE", page 12. November, 2007] [cite web | url=http://www.ingleburn-h.schools.nsw.edu.au/Newsletter.pdf| title=“The School TIE”, page 10, December 2007 | publisher=Ingleburn High School | accessdate=2008-02-05 ] may redeem their vouchers for a bronze award from a deputy principal.

The school's latest programme is PBIS or "Positive Behaviour In Schools"; a programme developed by the "U.S. Office of Special Education Programs" [cite web | url=http://www.pbis.org/main.htm| title=“PBIS Website” | publisher=OSEP | accessdate=2008-07-11 ] . The programme occupies students' time every fortnight requiring students to "focus on the positive behavioural expectations...of all students". Workshops includes worthwhile topics such as "discussing with students our expectations regarding...moving around and through corridors and walkways". This programme also occupies staff time in "development sessions". [Ingleburn High School: "The School TIE", page 3, May 2008]

In 2004, the student attendance rate for years 7 to 10 was below both the district and state averages. [Ingleburn High School: "Annual Report 2004", page 7] In 2007, the student attendance rate for years 7 to 10 and for years 11 to 12 were both below the state averages. [Ingleburn High School: "Annual School Report 2007", page 2]

Meg Lees, the former head of the Australian Democrats was a teacher at the school in the 1970s. [ [http://www.smh.com.au/articles/2002/07/29/1027926855614.html Meg Lees: The unauthorised story - smh.com.au ] ]
