Haitair

Haitair is a start-up airline based in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. It plans to operate scheduled services from Port-au-Prince to Orlando, Fort Lauderdale and New York, using wet leased aircraft similar to Boeing 727s or McDonnell Douglas MD-80s.Flight International 3 April 2007]

History

The airline was established in June 2006 and is wholly owned by Webens Sabbatt, Chief Executive of the airline. The airline applied to the United States Department of Transportation for authorization to operate scheduled services from Port-au-Prince to Florida and New York on 20 June 2006.
