DUSTWUN: DUSTWUN is an abbreviation for duty status - whereabouts unknown used by the United States Department of Defense. It refers to servicemembers who cannot be located but have not been confirmed captured or dead, much like the better-known missing in action or MIA status, but a servicemember can only stay in DUSTWUN status for ten days.
