Rubens Sambueza (born January 1 1984, in Neuquén, Neuquén) is an Argentine football midfielder. He currently plays for Flamengo on loan from River Plate.

Career

Sambueza made his debut for River on November 30 2003 in a 2-0 loss against Club Atlético Lanús. He was part of the team that won the Clausura 2004 title.

Sambueza has played 49 games scoring 3 goals, as well as 21 South American games scoring 17 goals.

In August 2008 Rubens moved, on loan, to Flamengo for a period of one year.
