The St Austell Brewery was founded in 1851 by a young Cornish man named Walter Hicks. The brewery has been operating for over 150 years in the town of St Austell in Cornwall , England, United Kingdom. The brewery is most famous for their flagship beer, "Tribute". Other popular ale's include Proper Job IPA, Tinner's Ale and Duchy Bitter.

In 2008, St Austell Brewery signed a deal with Healeys Cornish Cyder Farm, near Truro; to continue kegging and distributing their popular Rattler cyder and newcomer, Prattler pear cyder for the next five years.

St Austell Brewery also produce 'M&S Cornish IPA', which is bottled and sold in Marks and Spencer stores.
