Saint John's Preparatory School is a private, Roman Catholic high school in Collegeville, Minnesota. Located in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Saint Cloud, it offers both boarding and day students a Catholic education.
Background
Saint John's Prep was established in 1857 by monks and priests at Saint John's Abbey, a Benedictine community. It is the oldest secondary school in Minnesota. In the early days enrollment was mostly boarding students, today about 75% are day students. The school was male-only until 1974, when nearby all-girls Saint Benedicts closed.
