What Is Free to a Good Home? is the title of a poemPaul Haines wrote forRobert Wyatt sometime in the 1980's. It was later set to music byCurlew (band) in their 1993 release " [A Beautiful Western Saddle [ (Cuneiform Records ). Before his sudden death in January 2003, many of Paul's poems were set to music by the experimental musicians he admired most. You can find "Sprig" and "What Is Free to a Good Home? in the first collection of his work ever published.
