Chaudhry Wajahat Hussain

Chaudhry Wajahat Hussain, also known as "Commander Gujrat", son of Chaudhry Zahoor Elahi, was born in 1960 in Gujrat. He is a graduate of George Washington University in USA where he completed a Bachelors degree in Political Science. For his primary and high school, he attended the Aitchison College Lahore, where many Pakistani businessmen and politicians have attended.

He comes from a political family.[1] Wajahat is a businessman and an agriculturist, who is President of Pakistan Muslim League, District Gujrat.

He was elected to the Provincial Assembly in 1988, 1990 and 1997. He was elected MNA in 2002[1] and 2008[2] election. Former Prime Minister of Pakistan and President of PML, Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, is his brother,[3] and Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi, former Chief Minister of Punjab is his brother-in-law. He is serving as a member of the National Assembly of Pakistan. He has been elected to the National assembly two times from to NA 104 by defeating Nawabzada Ghazanfar Ali Gul of Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarians[clarification needed].
