Valerie Geller

Geller works with stations that emphasize news and talk. She regularly guest lectures at the Graduate School of Journalism at both the New York University and Columbia University in New York City.Fact|date=November 2007

Geller has authored several textbooks on the subject of news and news/talk radio including "Creating Powerful Radio - A Communicator's Handbook" (ISBN 0-9647930-8) M Street Publications, 1994, "The Powerful Radio Workbook - The Prep, Performance & Post Production Planning" (M street Publications 2000) ISBN 09647930-5-9 and "Creating Powerful Radio-Getting, Keeping & Growing Audiences" from Focal Press 2007 (ISBN 0-978-240-51928-9 There is also an instructor manual by Melissa McConnell Wilson and Linwood Hagin for Creating Powerful Radio (2007)

Geller Geller has worked extensively with some of top personalities in news and talk radio throughout the world, including the BBC, ABC in Australia and at WABC in New York. The news and news/talk format is widely regarded as programming that "saved" the AM band, and kept many of these stations broadcasting.

Geller’s own on-air career in radio includes stints as a talk show host, anchor and reporter for Los Angeles FMs KOST and KRTH, as well as KTAR-AM/Phoenix and KOA-AM/Denver.Fact|date=November 2007 Ms. Geller was one of the principals who successfully helped move KFI-AM Los Angeles from a music format to Talk.
