Paul Caddis (born April 19, 1988 in Irvine, Scotland) is a professional footballer currently playing for Scottish Premier League side Celtic.

Caddis attended St Joseph's Academy until June 2004, leaving the school to play professional football for Celtic after being scouted by both Old Firm clubs in early 2003. Allegedly the game which secured him a trial at Celtic was attended by both Celtic and arch-rivals Rangers' scouts.

He returned to take Higher level P.E. but, under regulations from Celtic, like many professional football teams, was unable to play in the school's football team.

He trained with the under 17's team at Celtic before training with the under 19s - he quickly became captain and regularly plays with Celtic reserves. Paul often trains with the first team and has been on the bench for the final game of the 2006-07 season.

He made his Celtic début in a friendly encounter against Newcastle United on July 26 2007, he was substituted on 74 minutes for Jiri Jarosik. Due to the achilles and knee injuries sustained by Jean-Joël Perrier-Doumbé and Mark Wilson early in 2007-08 season, he was in line to gain his competitive début but he himself suffered a groin muscle injury, ruling him out until the end of December.

He was on the bench for Celtic's trip to Hearts which ended in a 1-1 draw. Celtic began the match with four centre-backs across the defence, with all their first choice full-backs injured. He finally made his competitive début coming on as a Substitute in Celtic's 1-0 victory away to Falkirk on January 27, 2008. He started his first game for Celtic on February 2, 2008 against Kilmarnock in the Scottish Cup. Ironically, his first start came at the town where he grew up. He assisted Scott McDonald for the first goal in a 5-1 rout against Kilmarnock.

He made his home debut on February 20, 2008 against FC Barcelona in the Champions League Last 16 First Leg fixture.Since then he has regularly been apart of the matchday's squad for Celtic and played in a few of the pre-season game for Celtic(2008-09).He also set up the first goal against Livingston in the CIS Cup.
