Aaron Rome (Born September 27, 1983 in Nesbitt, Manitoba) is a Canadian ice hockey defenceman currently playing for the Syracuse Crunch of the American Hockey League.

Junior career

Aaron Rome played junior hockey in the Western Hockey League from 1999–2004. From 1999–2001 He played for the Saskatoon Blades. In 2000–01 He played for the Kootenay Ice. From 2002–2004 He played for the Swift Current Broncos. He spent the his final games as a junior in 2003–04 with the Moose Jaw Warriors.

Professional career

Aaron Rome was drafted by the Los Angeles Kings in round 4 #104 overall of the 2002 NHL Entry Draft. He began his professional career with the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks of the AHL in 2005. In 2006 He moved to the Portland Pirates where he would stay for all of that season and most of 2007. Late in the 2007 season he was called up to the NHL by the Anaheim Ducks for the playoff run. He played one playoff game with Anaheim in 2007 on their way to the Stanley Cup, but did not qualify to be engraved on the Stanley Cup. On November 15, 2007, Aaron was traded to the Columbus Blue Jackets, along with Clay Wilson, for Geoff Platt.
