glacier s on the northwestern flank ofMount Rainier in Washington. It covers an area of convert|0.1|sqmi|km2|1 and contains 100 million ft³ (2.8 million m³) of ice. The glaciers actually lies on a subsidiary peak of Rainier, the Convert|8364|ft|m|0 Observation Rock. There are two sections of glacial ice, an eastern lobe at about Convert|7600|ft|m|-2 to Convert|7300|ft|m|-2 in elevation, a smaller western lobe at about Convert|7200|ft|m|-2|abbr=on|abbr=on|abbr=on|abbr=on in elevation.
