Thrush Aircraft is a U.S. aircraft manufacturer based in Albany, Georgia. It currently manufactures the Thrush series of agricultural aircraft.

History

Rockwell International originally built the facility in 1965 and operated it until it was purchased by Ayres Corporation on 23 November 1977. On 30 June 2003, Thrush purchased the assets of Ayres Corporation.

The manufacturing facilities consists of 160 acres of land located adjacent to the Southwest Georgia Regional Airport with direct access to the airport's two runways.

Production

Although mainly producing turbine-powered agricultural aircraft, a recent order in March 2008 from the Libyan government for 20 Thrush 600 series aircraft has revived interest in the older radial engine series. Lavender 2008] Despite incorporating some modern refinements, the Thrush 600 is essentially the same type that was last produced by the Ayres Corporation in 1994. Two dual-control, two seat trainers are included in the Libyan order.
