Herd's tenure on "Survivor" was marked by frequent betrayals. The enmity this caused ensured that he would go on to be voted down 9-0 against the eventual winner,
Earl Cole . His most notable betrayal was a broken promise toYau-Man Chan that should both he and Yau-Man be in the final four and Dreamz won individual immunity, he would give the immunity necklace to Chan in exchange for a 2008Ford Super Duty truck that Chan won in an earlier reward challenge. Despite repeated declarations to the audience that he would be 'a man of his word' and would honor the agreement, and despite saying that he wanted his child to see that he was a man who would keep his integrity and his word -- Dreamz reneged. As a result of this betrayal, he managed to reach the final Tribal Council along withEarl Cole and Cassandra Franklin. Losing to Cole in a unanimous vote, Herd shares second place with Franklin, and was awarded a cash prize of $100,000.
