St. Cecilia Academy is a private, all-girls, Roman Catholic high school in Nashville, Tennessee. It is located in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Nashville.
History
St. Cecilia was established in 1860 by the Dominican Sisters. The all-girl college prep school not only nurtures the girls in their faith, but also teaches the Ladies about the importance and challenges about being a woman. The SCA mascot is the SCArab. St. Cecilia is rich in traditions, such as St. Cecilia Girl, the highest honor that can be bestowed upon a student. This is awarded to the girl who most exemplifies the morals of St. Cecilia.
