This temple has a great history in the epics . this temple was built by KOTRA.JANAIH GUPTA in the year 1861 A.D . This temple has great history ,during the 19th century the name MANIK PRABHU was very famous in the maharastra and telangana region . During this time a holy couple named KOTRA.JANAIAH GUPTA went to manik prabhu has they heard about the blessings of SHRI .MANIK PRABHU MAHARAJ . Has their son didn't had any precedors to look after their propety so, to get the blessings oh prabhu they travelled all along to MANIK NAGAR which is presently called HUMNABAD in maharastra . After gettin blessings from shriman they came back . By the blessings of god they had a precedor after some days so,' they started treating MANIKPRABHU has god who is an avtar of SHRI DATTATRAI SWAMY . Later swamy himself came to this mominpet and said to start the construction of MANIK PRABHU MANDIR . later it was maintained by his precedors and KOTRA.PRABHULINGAM GUPTA (formerly deputy sarpanch ) being one of the precedors of kotra.janaih .He also took part in maintaining the temple this was done purely on seva manner they didn't had any intension in showing off their status they maintained because of the love on god and now it is handed over to devotees who take care of the temple presently .
