- Rodney Hilton
Rodney Howard Hilton, (
November 17 1916 –June 7 2002 ), was an EnglishMarxist historian of the late medieval period and the transition fromfeudalism tocapitalism . He was born inManchester and studied atBalliol College Oxford University and was a member of theCommunist Party Historians Group before leaving the party in 1956 with many others. He had a 36-year teaching career at theUniversity of Birmingham .Works
