- The Inbreds
The Inbreds were a Canadian
indie rock band formed in 1992.Originally from
Kingston, Ontario , the band later moved to Halifax, Nova Scotia. The band consisted of singer-songwriters Mike O'Neill and
Dave Ullrich , and were renowned in Canadian indie rock circles for their unique, mostlyguitar -less sound. O'Neill played bass and Ullrich played drums. A few Inbreds songs did have guitars in the mix; these were usually played by guest musicians such as Matt Murphy. The band's biggest hit was "Any Sense of Time", from the album "Kombinator".
Following their 1998 album "Winning Hearts", the band parted ways. Each has since released material, O'Neill as a solo artist and Ullrich with the band
Egger . A number of CDs containing rare and unreleased material were subsequently released on Ullrich's independent labelZunior .In 2007, Ullrich and O'Neill reformed the band to record a version of "Dope Fiends and Booze Hounds" for the
Rheostatics ' tribute album "The Secret Sessions ". O'Neill went on to play the character "Thomas Collins" in the seventh season of the TV show Trailer Park Boys.Discography
