Lake Superior (passenger train)

The "Lake Superior" is a Canadian passenger train operated by VIA Rail Canada serving communities between Sudbury, Ontario and White River, Ontario three times a week [VIA Timetable, http://www.viarail.ca/tickets/en_hora_pdfs.html] .

The train provides flag stop service to many remote communities only accessible by rail on the Canadian Pacific Railway mainline in northern Ontario. The journey is 484 km and typically takes 10 hours traveling through the Canadian Shield. A one way fare is CAD $53.

The typical equipment used on this route is Budd Rail Diesel Car using a RDC-2 and RDC-4, with an extra car added when required (typically on the Victoria Day weekend).
