Kolenchery is a steadily growing town located on National Highway 49 (NH49), 27 km east of
Cochin city inErnakulam district ofKerala State, "South India".It is very famous for M.O.S.C Medical College in the town.this Medical College serves the needs of thousands who are near to Kolenchery and those from Idukki district also refers this Medical College Hospital as it is the premiere Hospital in the area. The Medical college belongs to Malankara Orthodox Church.
Kolenchery was just a hamlet with church, handful of schools and cinema theatre five decades ago. It was known outside as the home of contractors and real estate owners.
