Northern Michigan lake located on the border of three counties,Antrim County, Michigan ,Grand Traverse County, Michigan , andKalkaska County, Michigan , with a surface area of convert|2561|acre|km2|0. The Lake is attached to Elk Lake and is considered to be part of the Northwest Michigan Chain O'Lakes. The lake is well known for its nature and beauty, along with its fishing. Michigan's record size Muskie (Great Lakes) was caught in the lake in 1984, with a weight of 48.00 lb.The Torch River brings the inflow of water in from Torch Lake. From Lake Skegmog the water flows into Elk Lake, which then enters
Lake Michigan inGrand Traverse Bay .The Lake contains many stumps and logs in it which provides a nice living area for many species of fish. In addition, much of the surrounding land around the Lake is covered in a
