Antagonist A.D are a Hardcore/Metalcore band from New Zealand.

History

After numerous local underground gigs, helping to run a local radio program, and releasing a well received EP, the band finished their first full length album, "These Cities, Our Graves". Antagonist's energetic live shows have attractedFact|date=August 2008 international hardcore acts such as Hatebreed, Death By Stereo, Throwdown, Parkway Drive, Bleeding Through, Carpathian and Wish for Wings, making them one of New Zealand's premier metalcore acts. They also were recently involved in the 2008 Big day out in New Zealand.

They were a part of the New Zealand Taste of Chaos which also featured The Used, Rise Against, Aiden, The Bled and Gallows.

Antagonist recently changed their name to Antagonist A.D because there was another band from U.S.A with the same name.

Antagonist are soon touring Australia to promote their upcoming album, "We Are The Dead".
