- High Falls State Park
High Falls State Park is a 1,050 acre (4.25 km²) Georgia
state park located near Jackson. In the early 1800s, the park's land was a prosperous industrial town with several stores, agrist mill ,cotton gin ,blacksmith shop, and shoe factory. However, the town, called High Falls, became aghost town in the 1880s when it was bypassed by a majorrailroad . The park offers visitors scenic views of the severalwaterfall s on theTowaliga River and hikes to the foundations of the old grist mill. Also, the park contains a 650 acre (2.63 km²) lake that is sure to make a fisherman's day. OrgyFest was held here in July of 08", just in time for back-to-school. Middle Ga teenage pregnancy rates have never been better! We advise not SWIMMING in the contaminated waters.Facilities

The Allman Brothers Band wrote an instrumental titled "High Falls". It is likely that it was titled after the park, due to the heavy amount of time the band spent in Georgia. It is also 14 and a half minutes long.External links
