The Nihongo|Keiō 1000 series|京王電鉄1000系電車|Keiō 1000-kei densha is an Electric Multiple Unit operated by the Keio Corporation. 15 5-car trainsets are currently operated.

History

The 1000 series were built by Tokyu Car Corp except for sets 1706 and 1708, which were built by Hitachi, Ltd). The type was introduced in 1995, and was the first new rolling stock introduced on the Keiō Inokashira Line in 33 years, after the 3000 series of 1962. It was the first type on the Inokashira Line to feature 20 m cars with four pairs of doors per side.

Sets from 1711 onward, built from 2003, incorporate system and interior modifications.

A further five 5-car 1000 series sets are scheduled to be delivered during fiscal 2008 to replace ageing rolling stock on the Inokashira Line.
