Oyster Bay Branch of theLong Island Rail Road . It is located at Lincoln Avenue and Railroad Avenue, west of Roslyn Road inRoslyn, New York .Roslyn Station was built in
1865 and rebuilt in1887 . In1882 the Long Island Railroad attempted to extend the former Flushing and North Side Railroad line between Great Neck and Roslyn Station. This proposal failed, and instead the line was extended to Port Washington in1898 .
