PC Band
Panther Creek High School also features a superior award-winning Symphonic and Marching Band. Under the direction of Mr. David Robinson, the band currently has multiple band classes: Symphonic Band and Marching Band as well as Music Theory and Jazz Ensemble classes. Marching Band is required as the first semester class for each of the symphonic band members. In the 2007 marching season, the Panther Creek marching band placed 1st place in two competitions at Clayton and Wakefield, which is a very outstanding result for a young band. They also participated in Appalachian State University Band Competition, which they placed superior against very top bands in the area. Panther Creek is considered 2A~3A band as of 2007 (Total of 92 band members). Director David Robinson was band director at C.E.Jordan High school from 1986-2006; he is widely known for his experienced teaching style, a product of directing high school bands for 22 years. This year, in 2008, The symphonic band took top level music (grade 6) to state festival, where they received 4 superior ratings. Panther Creek High School Band is the fastest-growing band in the area.
Theatre
Panther Creek High School, under the direction of Bing Cox, has performed Disney's High School Musical. The plays they have done are Snow Angel and As You Like It.PCHS Theatre seems to be on the verge of success for it's second musical in the upcoming spring. The musical for spring in 2008 is planned as Bye Bye Birdie. Most expect it to be a wonderful run, surpassing even the amazing success of High School Musical which was done in Spring 2007.
"As You Like It"
In the fall of 2007, the Panther Creek Production was "As You Like It" by William Shakespeare. It was performed on November 8th, 9th, and 10th, 2007, at the PCHS Auditorium. It met rave reviews from the Panther Creek News Network.
MART Lunch
Panther Creek was the first school to implement a single, 55 minute long lunch period. SMART stands for Students Maximizing Achievement, Relationships, and Time.
