Joey Malone (born 22 January 1958 in Dublin) was an Irish
soccer player during the 1970s and 1980s.A dynamic midfielder, he made his league debut with Bohemians on the 25th of September 1977 and won a league title with them in 1977/78. He made 1 appearance in European competition for Bohs. He has also played for St Patricks Athletic, Dundalk (captaining them to the "Double" in 1987/88), Home Farm, Athlone Town, Longford Town,
Waterford United andMonaghan United during his career in the League of Ireland. As player-manager, he ledGalway United to triumph in the1991 FAI Cup Final with a 1-0 win overShamrock Rovers .Honours as player
