Miguel Gomez, better known as Aztek is a Gangster Rap artist born in Santiago de Cali, Colombia. Aztek Escobar was the first artist officially signed to Jay Z's Roc La Familia Label. Aztek is no longer on Roc La Familia, yet a reason for his departure has not been provided by Aztek nor Def Jam.

Biography

Early career

In 2005 Aztek created an early buzz beginning with the song "I'm Reloaded" which featured Jay Z over Mike Jones Back Then instrumental. Soon after Aztek was the first artist signed to Roc La Familia. Roc La Familia soon created a website for Aztek with videos, music, bio, and a forum. Within days of the launch of this user-updated forum, its lines were filled with taunts from Gomez's high school peers, calling out the absurdity of his claims of a gangster life style. The forum was quickly removed by Roc La Familia in order to reduce attention to Aztek's fraudulent persona as a hard thug. As of late 2006 Aztek Escobar has since left the label.

In November 2007, Aztek released a mixtape titled "Blood In Blood Out". Its the album before his debut album "Colombian Necktie".
